Stories of Grace: Ali Aneiros

The Blue Star Grace represents the pride I have for our military, especially my belated husband Yoe (Spc. Yoe M. Aneiros KIA 9.7.04) who gave his life protecting his adopted country. He was killed on his 20th Birthday, but his selfless sacrifice and eternal smile will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
It represents the love I have for my family and friends who have been by my side supporting me every step of the way.
It is a symbol of a new journey; of faith, hope, dreams and love, everything that at some point was gone from my life. I have been blessed to have found love again with a man who not only respects but also understands my journey. He loves me so much. What more can I ask for?
“I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness for it shows me the stars.”

Stories of Grace: Lisa Kain

My blue star grace pendant is a tangible reminder of the places I have been and the amazing families I have met throughout this journey. The adoration and respect I feel for those in uniform is felt in every farewell and every welcome home ceremony. I have been blessed to have married and stood proudly beside my husband, representing the United States Army. The Blue Star Grace pendant is more than just a piece of jewelry. It is the symbol that unites us. We are United Grace. We are mothers, daughters, sisters, wives...we are those "holding down the fort, taking care of business, making things happen, keeping everyone going." We are united by situations and a lifestyle too complex to explain to those who do not live this life. We share a special bond that few could understand or relate to.  We lead our families with grace and a sense of pride in what we represent. We are a group that has grown accustomed to relying on our Blue Star friendships during the happiest and the toughest of times. We are there to hold a hand during a time of grieving, and we are there to hold a hand when a new life enters the world. We know who to talk to when we need someone who will simply listen and "understand." We all get the same tight feeling in our chests when we see a yellow ribbon around a tree, a Gold Star on a flag, a Blue Star on a flag, the American flag. We have a deeper understanding of what these symbols represent. Often times, we hear, "How do you do it? I could never do it," when our spouses must deploy. Our love for those who live by a motto of, "If not me, then who," is how we do it.

Stories of Grace: Beth Myers, COO

I proudly wear my Blue Star Grace Pendant to honor my father who served during the Korean War, my late father-in-law who served during World War II, and my brother, who valiantly enlisted and served during Operation Just Cause/Invasion of Panama.   I wear it to express my patriotism and to honor the many countless soldiers and families that sacrifice daily for my freedom.  I wear it to support my closest and dearest friends that serve today, in ways that I can never fully comprehend or understand.  I love when people stop to admire its beauty and ask me about my Blue Star Grace Pendant.  It gives me the amazing opportunity to share my story and to tell them why I feel it is so important to support all of our Nations’ Blue Star Families.  It serves as a helpful tool to bring awareness to the Civilian community in which I live.  Most of all, it is a symbol of the love and appreciation to the ladies I work with each and every day at United Grace who have sent their husbands off, in harm’s way, to protect me and my family here at home.  Their courage, sacrifice, and Love of Country inspires me each and every day and serves as a constant reminder for me not to take for granted the blessings of this life we enjoy.  I am honored to work and serve alongside them in an effort to bring about awareness and support to our Military Communities, Widows, and Children of Soldiers in a real and tangible way.

The Perfect Blue Star Mother's Day...

...Starts with the Blue Star Grace Pendant!

Families of our Armed Forces serve as inspiration for the Blue Star Grace Collection. The Blue Star designation was originally created in 1917 by a father who had two sons serving in the First World War. This symbol was later adopted to recognize all families with active duty service members. Our soldiers represent America at its best. They are courageous and selfless, but in truth they do not serve alone. Families provide love and support to our soldiers and they sacrifice the quiet and secure life that the rest of us enjoy. They stand strong without complaint, and we want to celebrate and honor them with this collection.

Donna Jones, CEO

As I wear my Blue Star Grace pendant, I am filled with a sense of pride. When I see the depth of the brilliant star, I am filled with a deep sense of belonging.  I am reminded of the extraordinary women I have met on my journey as a military wife. I know that our shared love for those who serve our nation connect us in a way that can only be defined as Grace.  This necklace is delicate yet strong; it bespeaks of hope, just as the people this collection represents.
On this amazing journey, I have witnessed many marriages, babies born, tearful goodbyes, celebrated welcome homes, felt sorrow for those who did not come home, shared tears of sorrow and tears of joy. Through it all, the common thread that connected every woman that I have met, was a silent strength and level of courage that is hard to describe. I am proud to be a military wife, and I am proud to call all who wear the Blue Star Grace pendant my family. It is you who continue to inspire us at United Grace.
It is always wonderful to be Elegant, and it is always fashionable to have Grace. May you have both, and may you be United by Grace!
